Warwick, RI - The Rhode Island Republican Party is pleased to announce that Cranston Mayor Allan Fung has been invited to speak at the 2015 Northeast Republican Leadership Conference, which is being held June 18-20 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  This annual gathering of Republicans from across the country provides vital campaign training and will be a great opportunity to hear from top political leaders, including many of the GOP's 2016 Presidential hopefuls.  Other notable speakers will include RNC Chairman Reince Preibus, Governor Chris Christie, Governor Scott Walker,  HP CEO Carly Fiorina, and Senator Joni Ernst.

RI GOP Chairman Brandon S. Bell stated, "Mayor Fung is a rising star in the national Republican circles and was recently featured in the RNC's "Champions of Republican Principles" video.  He has been committed to not only helping our party grow in Rhode Island but also to take back the White House in 2016.  We are ecstatic that the Northeast Republican Leadership Conference has included him in the lineup with the other prominent national Republicans.  Last year, Mayor Fung was a featured speaker for the 2014 conference focusing on fiscally conservative leadership and getting two major unions onto 401ks.  This year, he will be speaking at the session entitled 'Building a Winning Majority: How the GOP is the Grand Opportunity Party,' on engaging the minority vote for the upcoming 2016 election."  Many members of our state party will be attending the conference and look forward to hearing from the long list of distinguished leaders including Mayor Fung.
